ABSTRACT

Prof. Takeda of Iwate university, Japan is an well known authority in non-ferrous metals processing and especially copper smelting and has left a special mark in these fields. Unfortunately he recently passed away accidentally with many interesting work left uncompleted. The author makes an overviews of his impressions about Prof. Takeda whom he has personally known and closely cooperated. General reflections on his scrupulous quality of work are given and special relations between his work, life and family are described.
